About Jeanne Kessler

Jeanne Kessler, founder and owner of CARE Camp® Consultants and developer of the CARE Camp® program, received her BSN degree from Duke University in 1984. She has worked over 10 years as a nurse in long term care and developed the CARE Camp® program in 1997. In 2000, the CARE Camp® program received the President's Award for Outstanding Program Development from the New England Association of Directors of Healthcare Volunteer Services. The CARE Camp® program was further developed from 2000 - 2004 in the Dallas, TX area where Jeanne held many workshops at various Alzheimer's Care facilities. Jeanne presently works as a registered nurse in the geriatric psychiatry and dementia area at the Institute of Living in Hartford, CT.
